Hey Guys.
Hey there. Sarodinian here, new here, looking for a couple games, and a more modern engine for Quake 2. I've been satisfied with KMQuake2, but that apparently doesn't work with COOP or DIE. So, I'm looking for a replacement. Any suggestions? Places I look are either down, or virus infested.

Re: Hey Guys.
hi too.
you can use EGL, but to play coop or die with EGL, you have got to do the following things:
1)Create a shorcut to the coopordie's bat (coopordie_edit_me_before_first_run) 2)Right click on the shortcut, properties, and add at target (at the end of the line) this thing: +set net_compatibility 1.

Re: Hey Guys.
@ANDREI: are you sure ? The "+set net_compatibility 1" is for Quake2XP, EGL don't need it, you only have to replace "quake2.exe" by "egl.exe" in your "*.bat" file. Welcome Sarodinian

Re: Hey Guys.
Andrei: You fail <.<
I'm sure EGL doesn't do that kind of stuff.. I just tested it! No net_compatibility, not anything... It just works!
IN the mean time: Use EGL, it's awesome. If you're not looking for the effects (which I guess is not the case) use AprQ2.

Re: Hey Guys.
EGL actually doesn't really work for me. I download it, install it, but it doesn't launch. Gives me OpenGL errors, but this was after playing around with it trying to tweak the settings. If you've got any ideas, share? I just managed to get the mod to work with Vanilla Quake.

Re: Hey Guys.
If It's throwing OpenGL errors, you probably don't meet minimum requeriments or you have something missing..
Can you be more specific?
