Post Spawning problem
When my group starts from the second teleporter with 4 players, we all spawn into the same starting location. This is an every time thing.

We have not gotten far enough through the game to see if these problems occur with later teleporters.

Now that's why there isn't anyone who has ever cleared coop in a 4-man team. Or has this issue been solved? Is it worth even trying?

That is a little problem... It happens... when playing on 4-man... so... Pat must fix it.. (i experimented by my self)

Or... solution:

One start and load the map fast and move..
The second one loads and moves
3rd demorate more than the second and move
and the 4th is the last loading.


That a solution because the problem is that you are all in the same place, so, if you move, you solucionate that. :P

Actually, the movement is what causes this problem most of the time. I'm sure you remember when we got stuck in the jail unit. Back then, I simply loaded faster than you did and moved onto the spot where your spawn was supposed to be located, so you "caught me" in it.

Now, if players just spawn on each other in the start of the game, that's most likely a bug.

Yes, and it's a nasty bug I have never really solved. In fact, it is not related to missing spawn positions. Sometime, all the players spawn on the same spot, even if there are 4 coop spots. A correction in the next DLL will remove a similar bug that can occurs while returning to a previously visited map, but that's not all :(

Sounds pretty bad, but does it mean there already was a bug in original Quake 2 coop games? Don't the spawn points in COOP or DIE work... similarly to the base version.

The bug can occur in this case (corrected in next dll) :

But I suspect the bug to be able to occur in other cases.
