Quake2XP is my preferred engine, I need to add a banner to encourage coopordie players to use it ANDREI wrote: i think, you can change views between X/Y Y/Z X/Z EDIT:This reply has no logic.. He he, you're right @barnes: any simple answer to explain how your radar create it's map and determine wall or ceiling.

Re: Quake2XP engine: coopordie ready
I can't download Quake 2 XP. Whenever I try to go there, Stuff just says there's malware on there, and won't let me even go there.... Does someone have a link for the download?
OpenGL isn't good for me anymore because OpenGL isn't compatible with me anymore. Also, it seems a lot of people rather have the newer graphics anyways (which I don't blame them for, just I never bothered to get better graphics because it doesn't really bother me at all the way they are).

Pat AfterMoon wrote: After installing Quake2XP, you need to modify your coopordie.bat and replace quake2.exe by quake2xp.exe, you also need to add "+set net_compatibility 1" to the command line, and rename the coopordie dll to "gamex86xp.dll". Would this work with KMQuake 2 aswell? The game runs in KMQuake2 (as in the intro map loads), but I have the same problem as noobketchup. The only coop or die .bat file in my quake 2 directory is called coopordie_edit_me_before_first_run.bat, are you reffering to another .bat file? Also, if CooporDie does work with KMQuake 2, what should I rename the coopordie gamex86.dll to, gamex86KM.dll? Here's for referance: http://kmq2.quakedev.com/Also, just to mention Barnes, there are no links to your Quake2XP which are alive; I can't seem to find the latest version. The latest I managed to find was version 1.25, which doesn't work.

Re: Quake2XP engine: coopordie ready
Enforcer: Yes, you should do rename the .dll.
Now, next: Would you please quote the problem of that guy?...
And..: The link on the site of quakedev seems to redirect to a website that has been reported as dangerous. I wonder what happened. About the version, the last I knew off was 1.25.
Yeah, ALL engines that support 3.20 dll version should be able to play this.. SHOULD that is.

Re: Quake2XP engine: coopordie ready
The Quake2XP website is hacked and infested since a long time, I'm afraid Barnes has abandoned it In the future I should host a mirror for some interesting Quake2 files like engines and texture pack.

Re: Quake2XP engine: coopordie ready
Ah That's why I prefer EGL!, and more recently, AQ2! It works like hell man. But, to be honest. What we really need is some dedicated team to make an engine... like the one that qw has. THEY ARE BETTER THAN US AND THEY ARE OLDER z.z Anyway.. there is your answer.
