The only real problem should be the 8th unit (the Outer Hangar), aka that unit with the lab level (the mother of instakillers in Quake 2), where Metal used to die all the time during our quartet run .

Sure, there are other levels where you may indeed die by instakillers, but you can use an invulnerability and rocketjump out of them, since you'll get another soon. Instead, you cannot face a level that easily where you can barely take a few steps without meeting an instant killer.

Huh, where exactly can you insta-die so easily in the Lab?

I mean, it isn't the *safest* of levels, but there are a lot of other ones which are even more dangerous.

There were acutally two things that killed me in the 8th unit -
Those moving boxes on pool, and...
The "cursed lift", which leads to the commander`s head.

Hm, normally these aren't supposed to be actually lethal, but I could see them being a problem if your connection's lagging. So yeah, I definitely understand and sympathize. :D

During the quatret, I died there, but didn`t lag. Now, will you understand me? :P

I understand the necessity to entertain myself with the thought that an *elevator* is what stopped a band of four marines from reaching and slaying Makron. :D

Well.. Imagine this:
-you've got 4 players trying to do the quartet run
-after taking the key objects or pushing a button/something, monsters may spawn (which leads to spawnkills)
-there are many elevators, which means you can get crushed easily
-the triggered earthquake may randomly push unprepared players into monsters or instakillers
-due to the 'odd' architecture (and few places to hide while fighting), you can easily get stuck between monsters and the other players, which usually leads to dying.

Well, that's at least what I think about the level xD.

Theres actually a thing to that lift, when you get to it a trigger makes it come down, but if youre fast or just bunnyhopping you reach the elevators.. shaft before the elevator arrives and if you dont realise the elevator isnt there you get crushed soon enough. Also the elevator is set to do a lot of damage incase someone gets stuck under it.

I was reading through my post history, being the curious lad I am, and look what I stumbled upon.
