what is aftermoon?

Hello PhrostByte and all others peoples !

AfterMoon is a Sci-Fi Online RolePlaying Game powered by the GPL Quake2 engine.
This project is under development, and several new features will be coded before the first release.

Each features will be developed one by one, and at each step I will release a mod for testing it.

• february 2002 : The WorldServer version 0.1 provide account management, master server, persistant data.
• may 2002 : The WorldServer version 0.2 extend persistant data (inventory, current map, health...) and XMLRULES introduce entities modification by the WorldServer and mini quest
• later : multimap (one Quake server, multiple map at same time, one player changing map don't affect other players)
• more later : Enhanced models with skeletal animation (MD3, HL or other).
• more more later : some other feature don't listed here
• more more more later : 1st release of the persistant World of AfterMoon.

Exact and the PhrostByte question was a good introduction for this forum. So, for me, there no problem . Currently I'm a little busy before the release of the 0.2 version, the enhancement of the COOP or DIE web site and the launch of the aftermoon.quakesrc site (developer part of the AfterMoon project). After the next release I will spend more time for this forum, I will post feedback about the online beta test (with detailled stats) and probably add a FAQ.

PS : please, don't transform this thread in a discussion about 'forum rules' and 'first post' . There is a general discussion for that.
