Since today the website and the WorldServer used by the COOP or DIE modification are merged with a phpBB forum. You must register to the forum and use your account's name and password for connecting with Quake2.

All account previously registered on the coopordie website have been imported to the forum database, so if you were a member, you can login with the same name and password.

If you encounter some problem related to these new features, please, report them here by responding to this message.

My login didnt work, so i got my password reset, now i can login to the site.i got the new update for quake 2 coop, and guess what. IT STILL DOESNT WORK in the game!

I cant play quake 2 coop anymore! no more simple stats screen on the coop or die website, no more chat window there either, and my account doesnt work in the game. It says "World server moved" when i try to connect, this is AFTER using the update!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY do you guys always ruin good things and cant just leave them be and let good things last? i am so dissapointed in this "change". i wish you just please put it back to how it was!!!!!!!!



OK i accidentally used the old BAT file with old server login line in it. Now it works, but still, i miss the chat window and server stats on the main page. now logging in to the site only brings you to the forum.

It's curious, I have made multiple test and got no problem with that. Does your old password contain special characters ?

The worldserver has moved from /rpc to /quake2/rpc/, it's the principal difference.

Are you telling about the statistics page with visited map and cause of death ? This page is currently "light" for preventing database load, but I will put it again, enhance it, and split it in multiple smaller pages.

The chat work the same way as before.

I haven't already integrated the phpBB3 login/pass field on the main page, but it is planned to work ASAP the same way as before. The actual main problem come from a cookie related bug. If you visit the forum first, you will see that your session is preserved, and if you comeback to the main page, it works, and you can use the webchat.
The cookie bug is on top of my todo list.

Really ? Even if you have pointed some minor defect I'm sure you are happy to have this forum, and a lot of enhancement are in preparation, I will request you for your feedback again

Thanks for your reply, sorry. the confusion was because i didnt know the main page logged you in, i thought only the forum existed now.

but after logging in to the forum and going back to the main page, im logged in there too and i can chat as before. so not much has changed then, and i am happy with the current format.


by the way the change to quake2/rpc/ this makes me think you are going to add more games, like quake2/xatrix/ and quake2/rogue/ (the 2 addon packs subfolders), and that would be good news
