i liked the old Q2 hud they had before the game had released..remember the face u see in the HUD of quake1? the same thing was there in quake2 but they removed it later
i have a quake2 test version with me but the hud here does not have ranger's face..its some bald guy(not grunt.>!)

Noticed the same thing on some of the screenshots i saw. I dont think its a "real" HUD. This dude is using rail gun but in the ammo hud part you can see 999 bullets... I just think hud was disabled on the screens so they made custom one (with photoshop or something).

nonono this is true ss (except the bullet part its true but i fell its a bug of those times)
