It seems that every time I go play mine entrance I can't play for long since it always crashes!

Is it the .xml? Or could it be the skin the other player is using? Or what?

Well, you were probably playing alone.

That was a thing I forgot to mension at the time. It wasn't my game.

Sorry, but I don't know how to help. the new XmlRules file of "mine entrance" have only added some monsters, maybe too much for small config (but it run well on my celeron 566).
If a player use a custom skin and you don't have it, it will display error message if you attempt to display the Coop hud, but not crash.

Instead of an error message on the coop hud, could you make it so it displays a default picture instead?

Currently I can't, because it is engine side, or the other possibility is to block non standard skin even if others players have it.

On later version, the skin will be selected directly on the profile web page. The possibility to upload your own and unique skin will be added, and periodical skin pack will be created, for everybody can download it.
