Im pretty much checking if theres anything new on the forums every 2 or 3 days. I dunno about that coop players tournament, would be nice to have some kind of event and get people on.

Inactivity reasons (as I think)
1. School
2. Work
3. This coopordie project isn`t that popular
4. This project has stopped being updated.
5. Quake 2, I think, is already on the abadoned game list, so also that`s why many people aren`t playing quake2. Althrough, there are about 50 quake2 players on all quake2 servers.
Well, I won`t quit of course, but I think that there must be something to do. Somehow we got some good activity when I was on that vacation, but now - dead forum. Maybe I should say "welcome to coopordie" to new incomers again? :P

Post Re: COOPORDIE EMERGENCY
Uh, if it'd be to give reasons those were be:
1) The fact that the people don't care about old games like Quake 2 anymore. Yes, Q2 was very popular at its time.. but now it's "unplayed" right now; this adds to coopordie's inactivity a lot, as lnot everyone knows about this mod or want to play it.
Yet, even if Q2 isn't that popular, at least Quake 3 (Quake 3 arena) does a well job on maintaining the Quake serie alive :P.

2) The second reason would be the small amount of time the most of the people have got.

Think at something like this:
-let's say there are ~150 constant/active Quake 2 players in total.
-the people have got a specific amount of spare time per day, let's say 1-5 hours; they won't spend all the time on only playing. This reduces their playtime to possibly 10-45-120 minutes.
-the timezones differ, making it harder for people to play together. Also, their spare time might be random, depending on each person's school/working time interval.
--> These things (and more) make it so that the most populated Q2 servers (about 5?) may have only 4-12 players on them.

(10 seconds later) Edit: and about greeting the new players - that would be nice, though some of the players might not read them / some of them would find it difficult to use the forum's interface to open the messages ( ) / some might not even succeed on opening coopordie properly and play etc. Tl;dr: yes.

Quake 2 makes me bored, really. That`s why I don`t even want to play it anymore, and I`m one of those who doesn`t care about quake 2. But I still care about coopordie.
Well, If quake2 had any cool mods such as quake 4 mod for quake2...
r maybe this forum should move on into quake 3 forum or even quake 4...
But sad thing would be that Quake 4 does not work on my computer... :(
Anywayz, good luck.

No. Wait.. what am I saying? I mean NO. Quake 2 has got its own physics engine. Porting Coopordie to Q3 or Q4 --modifying its physics engine-- would ruin the game.

If coopordie gets ported into q3, then it would be not a coopordie anymore. It would be a "kill or die" or something. However, Q3 has about 2 times more players than Q2. So there should be a chance that we get activity after porting to q3.
And same thing about q4 too, but i need a new PC to play it. :D
